Since the 1960’s Anglins Fishing Pier is a favorite local attraction. It is one of the oldest and longest fishing piers in the state, stretching out 876 feet into the Atlantic Ocean. The pier is a favorite destination for anglers who come to catch various types of fish like snook, tarpon, and mackerel. Visitors to the pier can also enjoy a stroll along the boardwalk, take a dip in the ocean, or just relax and enjoy the view. There are various shops and restaurants located on and around the pier, providing a full range of amenities for visitors. Anglins Fishing Pier is open to the public every day 24 hours, and there is an admission fee.

Coral Reef
Scuba Diving and Snorkeling

Lauderdale by the Sea has some of the best shore diving and snorkeling in South Florida, with a coral reef teaming with life just 100 yards offshore at the primary beach.  As part of the reef habitat. you can dive to find the shipwrecked SS Copenhagen, a 19th Century British cargo steamer.  The wreck is one of 11 Florida underwater archaeological preserves; and is on the National Register of Historic Places.
